Completing my Master of Science in Microbiology remained a transformative experience which significantly shaped my career. The program offered a rigorous curriculum covering microbial genetics, immunology, industrial microbiology, and environmental microbiology, taught by knowledgeable and approachable faculty.
A standout feature was the hands-on laboratory training. The state-of-the-art labs provided practical experience in essential techniques like microbial culture, molecular biology, and bioinformatics. This practical exposure was crucial in developing my technical skills and confidence in conducting independent research.
Research opportunities were another highlight of the program. I worked on a project investigating antibiotic resistance, which not only honed my research skills but also ignited a passion for scientific inquiry. As an alumnus of MSc Microbiology, my experience at CVM University remained excellent and it has enriched my professional journey. The program offered an excellent combination of theoretical knowledge as well as practical applications. The highlight of the course was my dissertation project, which significantly contributed to my growth as a researcher. This comprehensive knowledge enabled me to secure my position at the Microbiology department of the National Dairy Development Board at Anand, Gujarat. Currently, I am pursuing my PhD at Manipal University Jaipur.
