First of all I want to express my gratitude for being part of such a prestigious college ISTAR which is a constituent college of CVM University. I completed my bachelors in Geology and then I decided to switch my career in Remote Sensing so that I can combine my core subject which is Geology and this field of Geo-informatics to explore how the earth and its structures can be observed from the sky and how it can be utilized if we are unable to visit the field/site. When I joined the college I had very little knowledge on Geo Informatics so I was excited to learn the subject and when the course started I got to know that along with GIS and Remote Sensing programming will also be taught. The teachers taught us the Basics of GIS, Remote Sensing and Programming. As the time passed I got more deeper insights on all of the subjects by doing various projects individually as well as in group also. The teachers were very supportive during the whole course period as they guided and helped us in various international and national competitions such as NASA Space AppS Challenge and IIT Bombay Mapathon etc. However it was a tough task for me to switch from a field based subject to technology based subject but with the help and support of faculty staff and teachers it became quite easy. Teachers guided us in which manner we can use this subject such as in research or how we can go for start-up or freelancing work or how the subject can be utilized for small businessmen such as small shopkeepers. In my last semester internship I got the chance to carry out my Dissertation at a prestigious organization which is ISRO and I am thankful to my teachers who helped me for this. In the end I would like to say thank you to my teachers, friends and classmates for being helpful and supportive during whole course period

I would like to express my deepest gratitude for being part of ISTAR- constituent college of CVM university, as it has not only helped me for my academic growth but it has played an important role in carving a niche in my professional career. I have started M.Sc. Geoinformatics is almost after 4 years of Bachelor of Architecture so it is quite challenging for me to switch from designing to technical field, but now it is a privilege to stand for a significant position in real field. For this I am thankful to all professors of the department who always motivate us or forthcoming future endeavors. I am also thankful to all non-teaching members of ISTAR for their excellent facilities & constant support,care and concern during COVID situation. I am also grateful to all my batchmates as well as seniors for their every aspect of help and encouragement.

We started our classes in the midst of Covid, I met everyone online mode. Continuing studying while sitting at home was very difficult, I knew nothing of Programming Language. All the concepts were new to me, and we all had a hard time, but the blessing of having such mentors/teachers not only saved us but also helped us grow and become what we are today.
I was supported a lot by Madam Unnati and Krunal Sir, their suggestions and comments on my performance helped me improve, they worked very hard for us even when they were in ill health, and I appreciate them for always being there for us.
Speaking of friendship "I made very great friends here, who always helped me, who never let me feel far from home when I finally arrived here in Gujarat, who were my lunch and dinner partners, just like a family.
I won't be able to summarize everything here, but I will carry these memories in my heart forever.

The course of Geoinformatics is very versatile, I came from a Geography background, Geography was not just a subject for me, it was my passion. I blended my passion with the new field which turned out to be a game changer.
When I joined and started my classes I was boosted up to learn about the new things going on in the world. Programming based practical, different theoretical knowledge helped us to learn a lot.
I worked very hard, and with the support of my teacher's, I can proudly say that I am not only a Geographer, but also a Programmer. This is the hard work of my parents, & my Teachers that I am writing this note for the upcoming Geoinformatic Students. And even though we all come from different backgrounds, we learn the same here, and we excel in different fields which we can relate to. Formerly, I am Minakshi Singh Gehlot, I have completed Master of Science in Geoinformatics from Institute of Science and Technology for Advanced Studies and Research (ISTAR) College affiliated to Sardar Patel University. I am proud to be a part of this institution which has emerged as a first ranking college in GSIRF ranking (2020-2021). I am glad to be an alumni of ISTAR which allowed me to grow as an individual by giving opportunities to participate in various events. It boosted my self-confidence to the peak. Also, I have gained exposure of presentations and case studies with help of all the talented and dedicated faculty. The professors here are very supportive and understanding. All subjects are given equal priority.
This college has given us an unforgettable impression and friends for life. I am grateful to my professors that they helped us certainly to score good grades. I have seen many of our batch associates who have reached extreme heights in their career and have established their names in their respective industries. Thanks to our respected principal and teachers! Without you it would have not been possible to run such a great way.

My time at ISTAR not only led to an insightful career but also helped me grow as a person. By the time I finished my course, Krunal Sir had helped me with 2 internships and some freelance jobs, all in different application domains in GIS. This experience helped get a clear vision on broad aspects in GIS careers and find my variant of research interests. Unnati Ma'am had guided us over industrial visits with career prospects that I loved the most. Himanshu Sir helped me with core subjects as well as application-based practical that came handy with my future aspects. While talking about college life, how can one forget friendships? In our class, no one was a backbencher; we just acted like one! Overall, my time at ISTAR has helped grow my career as well as my social connections.

I entered in ISTAR in year 2016, that time I don’t know what the thing is going on in college. But when time goes I found many more things about the ISTAR and especially my Geoinformatics department. Now I know actual value of Geoinformatics in real world. ISTAR gives me great platform to fight with the current affairs of world. By guidance of Dr. P.M.Udani sir, I encouraged for Geoinformatics subject. I also thanks to my faculty members and friends to be with me at the time of learn new things. Online education courses like IIRS distance learning course and etc... Are also conducted in Geoinformatics department. Geoinformatics join a Department was one of my best decisions in life. It’s not a place for a people who enjoy college life as imagined; it is a place for people who have dream to achieve something big, something that is not accessible to everyone. Joining Geoinformatics department brought me a step closure to achieve my dreams. The department of Geoinformatics is an opportunity for Masters of science education. M.Sc. Geoinformatics department in ISTAR was my career building decision. Though it was our first batch, I am grateful to the Geoinformatics department for their efforts and providing us a full facility classroom and laboratories, equipped with e-learning technologies, providing the IIRS (ISRO) E-Learning courses. All staff members were available to guide us at all levels, personal as well as academic. Most importantly, before obtaining the degree of M.Sc. Geoinformatics, we have jobs in our hand. I would like to appreciate the efforts of department for the placement of students at the very first year of the department. The department was highly concerned in maintain of regularity in attendance of all students, and because of those regulations, today I can be in discipline on my work. Last but not the list I am very thankful for Dr.P.M.Udani sir who have given a guidance to join this Master of Geoinformatics course. Once again, thank you so much Geoinformatics department. My gratitude for your contribution to my future success is immeasurable.

Margaret Sangster, a well-known poet, author and editor, once famously said,” There is nothing half as pleasant as coming home again.’ Especially, if home means the Geoinformatics Department of the Great ISTAR. It gives me great pleasure to say with pride that I have completed my post-graduation from Geoinformatics department. I think Geoinformatics Department is not just a place to earn a degree but to be groomed holistically. These 2 years that I spent here have been a completely enriching experience. The high level of education and practical training imparted throughout the course helped me to handle different situations both at personal and professional level. I have acquired a lot of confidence through various platforms provided by the ISTAR such as Workshop, Seminars, International Conferences, Internship with good Stipend from renowned GIS companies, personality development session ,Expert talk, Study Visit where real-time actual work is going on (ISRO,IIRS,BISAG,GIS Corporate Company)etc. giving me the opportunity to present my creativity and talent. Will like to thank all my faculty members for being so supportive throughout my journey at the Geoinformatics department of ISTAR.
